The job offering only briefly existed, but made its echoes through the chambers of the internet.
Many guess on their secret plans to switch to Android, since their exclusiveness with Windows has become looser.
But if that's the case, then I want to be the one to call out a bigger and better plan:
Ubuntu on Android on Nokia
Look at this video, it's a teaser for the Ubuntu on Android effort:
But where is this glorious Ubuntu combination, that gives you everything in the shell of a phone? Its not out there and they are looking for hardware partners to realize the dream.
So my stretch-guess is that Nokia will partner with Canonical, and make this happen. Nokia have previously based their Mobile OS "Meego" on Linux, and may try that road again with fresh momentum.
It would seperate them from the herd of other Android manufacturers and give them back the edge the've lost when smart-phones started taking over, but whatever, now it's out there.
EDIT:: Looking back, I'm really not sure about this at all.
